"HIV" stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus.
Many people also refer to HIV as the "AIDS virus."
HIV is spread by sexual contact with an infected person, by sharing needles and/or syringes (primarily for drug injection) with someone who is infected, or, less commonly (and now very rarely in countries where blood is screened for HIV antibodies), through transfusions of infected blood or blood clotting factors. Babies born to HIV-infected women may become infected before or during birth or through breast-feeding after birth.
Some people fear that HIV might be transmitted in other ways; however, no scientific evidence to support any of these fears has been found. If HIV were being transmitted through other routes (such as through air, water, or insects), the pattern of reported AIDS cases would be much different from what has been observed. For example, if mosquitoes could transmit HIV infection, many more young children and preadolescents would have been diagnosed with AIDS.

Have unprotected sex with someone who has it.
Get a blood tranfusion from someone who has it.
Share a needle (usually heroin, methamphetamine, or cocaine) with someone who has it.
So, to avoid getting HIV/AIDS:
-Don't have unprotected sex until you BOTH take a test for it
-Don't get a blood transfusion unless it came through an accredited organization such as the Red Cross or a licensed mdeical facility. In other words, don't get one in a Third World hospital or by an unlicensed doctor (this may be easier said than done, since you really don't have the ability to "shop around" when you actually *need* a blood transfusion).
-Don't do intravenious drugs. If you are stupid enough to use intravenious drugs, then don't share needles with ANYONE, EVER.

No, you can get HIV by having unprotected sex with someone with `HIV. You do not have to bleed. Anytime you have sex you can have superficial tearing of the mucosa, which opens up a doorway for infection. Once fluids mix, they would carry the HIV virus, this could enter the mucosa tear and the non infected person would be exposed to HIV. Not everyone that is exposed becomes infected. But unprotected sex with any one could be dangerous.

You can get HIV if you share needles with someone if you do drugs. Are you can get it by having unprotected sex with someone if they have it. You can also get it through a bad blood transfusion if the person that donated the blood was infected. Or using someone else razor after they have cut themselves. Also a mother that is infected and pregnant can pass it on to there on born child. So you have to be careful.

no individual has yet discovered the beginning of HIV. The most efficient hypothesis (the perfect time I checked) develop into that SIV (simian immunodeficiency virus) one way or the different mutated and crossed from primates (probable chimpanzees) into human beings (transforming into HIV, or the human immunodeficiency virus). it really is only a hypothesis, in spite of the undeniable fact that it style of feels to be the most supported one. both forms of HIV look to have originated in 2 places in Africa from 2 diverse species of primates. If it really is authentic, it would want to have spread early on by human beings butchering monkeys contained in the jungles of Africa, and positive by sexual contact with their spouses. the in basic terms reason human beings contained in the u . s . imagine it really is a "gay ailment" is that it really is theory the virus first got here to the u . s . through Europe by a gay guy, which presented it into the gay community, and it really is what made the archives. Had it spread by the breeder community, i'm positive it would want to be stagmatized really in a unique way. in spite of the undeniable fact that, contained in the u . s ., as interior something of the international, it really is now an equivalent-possibility pathogen, and is not restricted to, or frequently extra wide-spread in any certain crew of human beings.

3)sharing razor (sharp instruments) etc. with infected person.
4)vertical transmission from infected mother to her new born baby
5)infected blood transfusion(blood transfused with out being tested .and some time the donor is in window period and tests will not show donor as infected)

It is primarily spread through perverted sexual activity, but it is also spread through sex with an infected person. There are other ways of getting it, which require caution in your daily life, such as which dentist you go to or where you go out to eat.
Generally, lead a clean life and have sex with your husband only, and that will be the best protection. It's mainly a disease of corruption, introduced into society by we all know who.
And forget what the liberals are saying above about "safe sex," except that the real safe sex is with your husband only. Liberals are insane, and they need to be sent to mental instituitions and have boxes locked on their heads, along with receiving electoshock therapy.
Now, guess what. I have a right to express the facts under Freedom of Speech.

by engaging in unprotected sex-----not using a condom! always practice safe sex. you never know how many partners your current partners has been with and whether or not she/he has HIV or has been exposed to some other communicable disease.
wear the condom, especially if you're going from partner to partner.
be careful! your life is at stake!
