Depending upon the year model, not hard at all. The front section simply bolts on while the rear may take some modifying to accept correct taillamps. The cars are, except for some cosmetic differences, the same platform. Doors will interchange as will all glass of like year models. In the final years of the cars lives they were built side by side on the same assembly line. Check www.obsoleteparts.com, or www.firstgen.com (if you want an older camaro). Front sections can be assembled using only standard hand tools. I actually saw this done years ago on a '78 model Firebird. Story goes the owner wrecked his Firebird but couldn't find any good used front sheetmetal, but he knew where a very good Camaro was that had a blown engine. He simply bolted on the entire Chev front assy and retained the rear Firebird lamps and bumper -- and it looked great!

Hard. You'd need a lot of expensive body parts. You'd need to get them on precisely aligned (the factory has special tools to do that). Some cutting and welding would be involved. Then you'd need to paint the whole car. Finally, you'd be doing a lot of nasty little jobs, like exchanging all the parts inside the door and all the lights.

It would be far far better to simply sell the Firebird and buy a Camaro, Much easier, vastly cheaper.

If you can't find any Camaros that you like, why would you want to make a Firebird into a Camaro?

I think Firebirds look better than Camaros. Other than you see camaros all over. It's easier to make a firebird into a TransAm.
TransAm look way way way better than camaros. Get the spoilers the hood scoop and the Firebird decal on the hood, and then tint all the windows.

Now your rolling.

If you really want a Camaro, sell the Firebird and buy one. Don't complicate a simple thing. Maybe you could get lucky and find someone who'll just trade cars with you.

on a similar time as the T/A is unquestionably an more advantageous finding vehicle, you've got problems with the rear lighting fixtures furnishings going out, extra indoors shakes and rattles at 70k miles, problems with pop-up headlights. The camaro has it relatively is downfall of being almost indistinguishable from a chrysler brotherly love at night time. the two have the comparable engine, trans, monsoon device, yet contained in the top i'd probaby %. the trans am.

Well, you COULD make it look like a Camaro, but it wouldn't be one. And those who know the little body details will be laughing their you-know-whats off at you.
Just get a Camaro if that's what you want.

Until you park side by side you will not even know. Hood, fenders, doors, all different. Rear fenders and hatch same but spoilers, side mouldings different. Taillights and middle part different. rear and front bumper covers different. Wheels different. Just go out and buy a camaro.
