What do you think about a mom that would marry, your Uncle ,who is my dads brother, My family is so screwed up, my mom took off with my dads brother, and they have a kid together now, so is this kid my sister or my neice, do I call my dads brother uncle butch, or do I call him dad, I think this is sick, do you think this could effect us as adults?

Sweetie, I am so sorry! Yes, that's messed up. I, too, grew up in chaos, but you gotta rise above it and don't be swayed by it. Keep your head about you and you'll be okay. I'm 30 now and my parents are still messed up....they act more like my children than my parents. Good luck to you hon.

The kid is your sister. You can not help who you fall in love with so if your mom fell in love with your dad's brother then so be it. You should still love your mom just as much. And dont call him dad or uncle.

Oh Beth honey I know you, I know its hard for you, Its a messed up world, I don`t think your uncle was in his right mind when he did that,he was going through a hard break up with his wife, remember he was drinking, and crying, because he loved his wife so much, but he ad done some pretty bad things,a nd didn`t know how to take them back, so he wanted to drag anyone he could down with him, do you know, he still loves is wife, he still had his mail sent to her mothers house, after over 4 years, but your mom honey she has been with more then just him in the family, she was with 2 or 3 others in that family before she was with your uncle, you be strong, your the oldest, be strong for the little sisters, and teach them the right way, you respect yourself, don`t let what they have done ruin your life...don`t let those people that make fun of you and your family hurt you, they are young and don`t realize how much their making fun hurts you. be strong..

actually your sister is also your cousin not your niece. If it gets too confusing living with your mother and your uncle you can always live with your father.
Best thing to do is explain the confusion and that you're unable to handle it at the moment and would like to concentrate on your education, and if living with your father would be a better set up for everyone. You might have to pick your words very carefully like this.

It is your mom's fault after all,
But as it is you cannot blame her, maybe your father is also at fault,,, and your uncle too,, why should he have done that to your father.
But nothing happens without a reason..
Your uncle is your uncle,,, your mothers dauther is your sister.
But don't allow yourself to be downgraded by the mess they created out of their life.
You have your own to live with..Live if fully, as you must wether you like it or not..
Create your own life,,, like a lotus,,, they grow up in mires and the worst invironment,, yet they grow up so beautiful and pure.
Be a lotus... you can do it..

well she just fell in love its not like they are blood related. i guess they would be both your sister and your causin i guess just pick what you would want to call them. It can only affect you as adult if you let it. You can over come anything if you want to.
