I used to make myself flash cards.. I would just take index cards and put a medical term on one side and the answer on the back. Works good for questions too. It really helped me when I was studying for a test. Good luck in the medical field!!!

I'm in nursing school myself, I'm on my 3rd semester...get ready for LOTS of hard studying! Techniques that have helped me are flash cards (cut them in 1/2---saves $$ and makes you put concise information on them, you don't want to much on each card or technique isn't effective), and concept maps...basically start with a topic, for example Hypertension...then branch off from that base and put subheadings for risk factors, etiology, Signs/Symptoms, Treatments, etc. That REALLY helps organize then information in your brain, because there is alot to retain. Good luck to you!!!
