in terms of reinstalling the recovery disk to its original factory setting? or can the tools option be enough to dismiss any history to websites or emails sent?

You could go through the internet options tab and erase your history and cookies, but this will not erase ALL of your cache. If you would rather not deal with the hassle or using the recovery disk to restart your computer, you could simply buy or download a program that would do this. The one I use I got off of download.com. However, if you are having problems with your computer using the recovery disk would do the trick and free up your computer's memory and hard drive to help your computer run faster. Just remember to back up any programs you use and save anything you want to keep to a CD or floppy because using the recovery disk will completely erase your hard drive.

Government Military grade software and hardware information recovery technique's can do that. But I gotta ask why would you want them snooping through your computer?

Clearing your cache, cookies, temporary internet files and folders should do just fine under normal circumstances.

IDK, I bought a refurb and while I was surfing I found a site that listed the last time I visited. The only way that I knew it wasn't me is it had the previous owners name listed and this is my first time I ever owned a laptop and ever been online.
