Television is one of the most influencial items ever. It has impacted humanity and has become a need (with modern context of course). One could NOT say that television has NOT affected they way they think of their given government.
From PBS to C-Span, our daily involvement in our great republic has increase thousands of percent! I will go further; Cartoons, sitcoms, and dramas alter our mindset and what we think of our current environment thus affecting political issues and our elected officials.
Television commentary brings out the worst in our government while purely watching our officials in the act of "governing" allows me to personally appericate the blessing of this great system - for its flaws, its people, and its future.

I don't watch much TV. There are plenty of other real not propaganda facts that haven't been distorted. Besides watching the same clip 5 times gets old. Were we at the same place when a speech was given if I am there with a news cast. I realize that they have a limited slot on televsion so three hours has to be condensed to say 20 min. They must use their best judgment with the facts presented. We have to use ours as well. We can see a little of the story and still read between the lines. Don't always take the story at face value if your not sure there are pleanty of ways to find out more yourself. Besides try to stay posative when watching even tragic events pray for those afflicted and see what you can learn from it.

TV is a very effective brainwashing tool of the Illuminati, who run this world. They control all world governments, and own all major media outlets. Therefore they can pretty much get away with anything they want, and convince the people what they're doing is right and good. The internet is our last hope of free speech, and genuine, unbiased news reporting. For the real news, see the sites listed below.

Its really unfortunate that the visual media cant be used to inform the American public.Instead we are fed titillating sound bites geared toward mis- placed emotional responses that have nothing really to do with the core issues. And as such the majority vote for emotion rather than substance. This goes to the heart of what is called propaganda.A clear Example to me was Ted Kaufman's decision to leave Night line in utter disgust for what is being passed as news.

If you didn't have the news the politicians would never do anything but fill their own pockets and tax the people. I for one am glad that someone is reporting on things we as citizens could never find out for ourselves. Unfortunately not enough of them are letting us know the truth.

None whatsoever. I watch the news for the sports and weather. The rest is just left-leaning propaganda.
