Why attack the pope?
You're referring to people who riot in the streets because of a cartoon - threaten to cut your head off if you question their beliefs and believe killing innocent people will get them a horde of virgins.

Can you imagine how upset they become when you bad mouth them?

Too bad they don't turn some of their rage on the terrorists, eh?

It was not a peaceful thing to say that the whole Muslim world is based on violence. It wasn't even handed, diplomatic, or wise to classify them all as misguided. To the Muslims it was like hearing the pope of 800 years ago right before he told men that if they died in the Holy land, their souls would go to Heaven.

It just wasn't the right thing to say. anyone has the right to his opinion, but having the most eminent voice in Christendom say inflammable remarks at this time will amplify the world's problems.

The Pope no longer has a standing army to back up something like this. This will only serve to increase the unease.

Ratzinger is an imbecile!

He fixed the voting in the College of Cardinals by changing the rules. (He NEVER could have been elected under the old rules that elected Karol Wojtyla and John Paul would NEVER have been elected under the new rules since Ratzinger's "coup de etat")

He is a hard-line, intolerant Catholic fascist. He didn't "call it as he sees it," at ALL! He tried to make a lame call for religious tolerance using a quote from a 14th century Christian hate monger and it backfired.

He is not only an intolerant and idiotic fanatic, he is a DANGEROUS intolerant and idiotic fanatic........

He's demonstrating the intolerance and hypocrisy of islam. These idiots go running out in the street racing to see which ones can prove the pope's point first. It's incredible how stupid, and manipulatable they are! It's like smoking bees.
I get a kick how they congregate in the street and start burning things and stomping on the burning things. Then they accidently light themselves on fire and trample one another. These people are the missing link.
