Alexander,
that is a real tough situation,
but I would tend to a no.
It will separate you not
only in distance, but in
ways you would never
imagine.
If you love your family,
stay with them, and
provide as you can.
You are more important
than providing them with
a bit more.
Good luck!

It depends on how badly I needed a job and the financial situation I was in.

Also - how much is a better paying job and what's the vacation like? Those are the things I'd be interested in knowing.

The first thing you should do is pick a country. Most countries, including any you'd be interested in, have strict immigration rules. Unless you have a trade that is in demand in that country, you may not have the chance you think you do. Your trades qualification may also not be transferable, you'll want to check that out as well.

I don't have any family (wife or kids) but if I did, no I wouldn't. I believe my presence to my family would be much more important to them than some extra money. Kids need a loving parent who is there for them, not extra junk to keep them entertained...

Of course not. If I couldn't take my family with me, then I simply would turn it down. Time is too precious... before you know it, your kids are grown and gone.
