The important thing is that you recognize a fantasy you have is wrong (e.g., punching someone without provocation, stealing, cheating on your wife).
As long as you don't act on that fantasy, I think it's okay.
Some religions feel the opposite: if you think about doing a sin, it's just like having committed that sin.
I think that's bull$h1t, you may feel differently.
If you constatntly fantasize about doing bad things, it may be a symptom of deeper problems which may cause you to eventually do something bad. If you are constantly thinking about doing bad things, or more than you think is healthy, I strongly urge you to seek psychological help.

I think it depends on whether or not you plan on acting on said fantasy......or are you fantasizing with the knowledge that you will never carry out the act? In that case I would say yes it is ok to fantasize about things that you feel are wrong.

No, I don't think it's okay... it's a waste of time and could lead to an action at some point. It's better to fantasize about things that you really want out of life and then work to achieve those goals.

I would be worried about my sanity if I fantasized about doing illegal things that would possibly hurt others. Just look at every psycho EVER that did horrible things to people.....they all started out with fantasies and took it to the next level. (reality) How do you know your fantasies will stay just that.

So far....no one has been able to stop us from free imagination yet?? We have the uncanny ability to fantasize about a great many things.....legal and illegal! To stop us from our free thinking would stop the growth of our Human Race......this is what sparks the flame of knowledge and creativity amongst us as Human beings....Thank God we have this freedom......the only last place on Earth we havent F_cked up .....yet??

It sure is, actions speak louder than words. To fantazise about murdering is not wrong, such as having a dream, can you control what you dream. Should you be arrested for having a dream about an illegal act even though it is not of your control.

I think that most honest and "good" people once in a while think about doing something that is crazy/out of their comfort zone/or just plain illegal! Its pretty much normal, because we have been conditioned that there are social rules about everything, and sometimes, when feeling rebelious, frustrated, or just really pissed off, we escape into a fantasy world where we can violate those social rules (norms, they call them) to make ourselves feel better or to get a reaction from the people who are pissing us off.
Why are you asking? Maybe your'e just inquistive but dont know that this sort of thinking is normal. Or maybe you hang out with alot of uptight people who have made you feel weird for feeling these thoughts. Or maybe still, you are thinking REALLY weird or REALLY illegal things...and in that case maybe y ou should see someone to resolve the issues. For one, normal people might think about breaking rules but they arent terrible things like, say, molesting school kids or slaughtering members of your family. For another thing, before any person acts they think about that action...so if you're thinking really bad stuff maybe you're inclined to do it, or some other form of crime that you "know" you shouldnt be doing!
This is not a judgmental answer, I'm just saying to think about the severity of what you're thinking about doing. Its normal for people to think about violating social/moral codes but not for people to think about committing serious acts. If you are thinking about doing something serious, dont be ashamed to get help, but if its minor stuff and you normally dont think about things like that then give yourself a break! :)

Of course. It's only natural for us to think about doing things that we shouldn't, even illegal things.

I heard that Rory Emerald has very weird thoughts and ideas, thus far he is okay. As long as you don't act upon them you should be okay. The only thoughts you shouldn't be thinking, are thoughts about children. GOD DOESN'T LIKE THAT!
Excellent question.
