I'm glad that you care enough about your success to seek additional help.
Have you consulted your math teacher about this? He or she may be willing to sit down with you and do a few problems together. Otherwise post a few here and some of us will guide you through a problem or two.
Otherwise there are algebra tutorials online. Reply to this if you want us to find those for you!
I hope this helps!

Basic lesson(algebra)
addition & substraction
2X + 5X = 7X
5X - 2X = 3X
(1/2 + 1/3) Y = 5/6 Y
*******************************
Solve this algebraic equation:
3Y + 2 = 4 (*)
3Y + 2 +(- 2) = 4 + (-2)
3Y + (2 -2) = (4 - 2)
3Y + 0 = 2
3Y = 2
(3X 1/3)Y = (2 X 1/3)
1Y = 2/3
Y = 2/3
Verification:
Put Y = 2/3 in (*)
we have: 3(2/3) + 2 = 4
6/3 + 2 = 4
2 + 2 = 4
4 = 4 (True)
***********************************
Everyday problem:
Bob has 3 boxes. Mary has X boxes. If the total of boxes for Bob
and Mary is 9 boxes. How many boxes has she ?
Solution:
We want to find the numbers of Mary's boxes
(Total numbers
of boxes) = Bob's boxes + Mary's boxes
9 = 3 + X
=> X + 3 = 9 ( **)
So X +( 3 -3) = (9 - 3)
X + 0 = 6
X = 6
Verification:
We put X= 6 in (**) and we have:
X + 3 = 9
6 + 3 = 9
9 = 9 (True)
**********************************

There's a couple things you can do. One is to go back and read the sections of the math book that you missed. Work through some of the problems to see if you can do it. Talk to your teacher and see if they can help you. Pick out a smart person in class that you get along with and ask them to tutor you after school. Maybe have them spend the night (if they are the same gender as you). That'll give you time to work on math and then do something fun together.

A Letter is a Variable, meaning it can be replaced by any number
When a number is right next to a letter 4n than it means Multiply 4 by whatever the n is supposed to be. like 4 x n when n = 6..
4 x 6
When a number is written like 4(6) than it means multiply 4 by 6
When a number is written like 4^6 or 4 with a lil 6 above it. than it means Multiply 4 x 4 6 times soo
4x4x4x4x4x4 That's all I can get outta my head at this moment.

Definitely schedule a time to meet with your teacher. I would recommend reading over the material that you missed and making a list of things that don't make sense to you. Algebra can be so much fun!

As a former reacher, I give you the best advice I can. Go to see your teacher. Ask for a short synopsis of what you have missed. Work hard, and I'll be here to help where I can.

Talk to the teacher and ask what you missed and how to make it up. He/She can help you, after that, get help from friends who have the same class, parents who know the algebra, or siblings that have already been through it
