Ok well I own a 1994 GMC C2500 Sierra Regular Cab. For some odd reason my lights aren't actuating (brightening). Before I bought a bulb or any bulb I took out my brake light unit and I used a test light to see if I get any brake signal, but I have no brightening. Thing is that I have my signals and my lights come on with headlights and w/e, and I even have my third brake light, but a 3rd brake just uses a ground and signal wire for when to come on, whereas the brake light has ground, signal and power. So is it my brake switch that is screwed, would anyone know the obd1 code for a bad switch?

the brake light switch wont set a code on the computer,,its one of the things that is not monitored by the computer,,you may possibly have a bad switch on it,,but i think if it was bad none of your brake light would work on it,,try checking the ground wire for the 2 back brake lights,,also check and see if the wiring harness had come loose on it,,if it has a trailer hitch on it,,sometimes the connection at the hitch point will knock out the rest of the brake light,s,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s.

Can't think of anything so check the grounds....common grounds cause some really weird things to happen.
