Not me. We were very lucky not to get stuck with Gore. I can't imagine what our country would be like today.

Riots, no. But Pres. Clinton should have defied the Court. Clinton should have said, "This ruling is so blatantly unacceptable -- it is blatantly motivated by the partisan loyalty of the Justices who ruled in Bush's favor -- that, so far as I'm concerned, the Court has done nothing. I hereby recommend to the election officials and judges in Florida that they defy the Court's "injunction" and continue counting the ballots. I will not "enforce" this "ruling" at all.

Remember that fool who said, "I might not agree with what you're saying, but I will defend to the death your right to say it!" American voters seem to have forgotten what elections are all about. Reps think it is about getting their man in at all costs, and Dems think it is about calling the Reps names and pointing fingers. They are both wrong. It is about honesty and integrity and accountability. And lastly, it is about the will of the people: ALL THE PEOPLE! The will of every voter I know is to have an HONEST election!

Of course not - as badly as it was handled, especially by the Supreme Court that really tarnished its own image, the fact remains that eventually counted ballots established that GWB did get the majority of votes in Florida.
I think his administration has been a tragedy and he is the worst president in the past 150 years. But, in our system of government, he did win the most electoral votes.
No excuse to riot, though.
