An atom in basic terms has a nucleus which has protons and neutrons and surrounding the nucleus are electrons, this entire ingredient is an atom. whilst an atom or atoms bond with different atoms the entire team is named a molecule. So a molecule is better than one atom bonded mutually.

Atoms are the smallest particle of matter that is involved in a chemical reaction. Atoms make up molecules, which are just groups of atoms that are bonded together by sharing their electrons.
For example, the smallest particle of water is a molecule of water. In one molecule of water you have two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom joined together to form the molecule. So we write the formula of water as H2O, where H is the symbol for hydrogen and O is the symbol for oxygen.
The air you breathe is also made of a mixture of molecules. There are molecules of nitrogen and molecules of oxygen. The molecules of nitrogen are two atoms of nitrogen joined together. The formula is N2. Two oxygen atoms join together to form O2, a molecule of oxygen. That is what you breathe. Your body uses the oxygen molecules and it ignores and doesn't use the nitrogen molecules.

molecules are made of atoms. It takes at least 2 atoms to join to make a molecule. When you look at chemical equations you are looking at molecules and the equation tells you how many atoms are in that particular molecule. (H2 is two hydrogen atoms)

Molecules are acceptable bonds of atoms of different types according to the periodic table, atoms being the singular mass commonly known as elements. Atoms of an element are its purest form. However, atoms themselves are comprised of charged and neutral particles and subparticles. Example of atoms as understood as an element: Hydrogen, atomic symbol H and Oxygen, atomic symbol O, when combined in a ratio of 2 to 1 in this case, would form the simple molecule of water, atomically known as H2O. more complex molecules may be comprised of many and different atoms.

Tell the children that each marshmallow represents an atom. Toothpicks are used to join the atoms. When atoms are joined they will form a molecule. To begin, each child should receive four different colors of marshmallows: 5 of one color that will represent Hydrogen, 3 of one color that will represent Oxygen, and one each of the third and fourth colors that will represent Carbon and Nitrogen.
Have the children make a water molecule from two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Make a carbon dioxide molecule from one carbon atom and two oxygen atoms. Make an ammonia molecule from one nitrogen atom and three hydrogen atoms.

an atom is made up of a cloud of electrons, and a nucleus of neutrons and protrons. Each of these are made up of smaller particles called quarks and they'res 6 of them- up, down, charmed, strange and I don't remeber the other 2.
Molecules, are a mixture of different atoms joined by electron clouds
