'cause it reminds you of a bad memory? It's happened to me so many times. I hear a song and it instantly brings back unhappy memories and I have to switch to another song. The worst part is when I had actually liked the particular song a lot to begin with!

You seem to have been unhappy a bit too often while songs were playing. The solution is that whenever you start to feel sad, turn on rap music. From then your bad memories will only be associated with rap, and you will never again have bad memories from listening to really good music.

When something big happens you begin to notice different meanings in the word of songs. Unfortunately sometimes in songs that you used to like. Over time things fade and the music won't relate in the same way, though if it is strong enough event that happened you may always associate the song with it. It just won't be as strong.

No. But I turn the radio off when Fallout Boy or All American Rejects comes on. -cringes-

I don't have many songs that bring bad memories, really... I mostly just hear new songs on the radio, not ones I remember from the past.

Yes. I always take a little memory-lane walk when I hear a song. Good or bad, i usually listen to the whole thing.

I can't listen to Beautiful Day by U2 from beginning to end, because it brings back painful memories of the first time I heard Beautiful Day by U2, when it nearly bored me to death. (It's a pretty traumatic episode of my life. No, really! It is!)

Yes. I loved this Aaliyah song, I still do, but evertime I hear it I think of my audition I did using this song and I didn't get the spot.
