what i heard what happened w/ the whole zidane-headbutting incident (i think this is what the he said) was that the player from italy was grabbing zidane's jersey when they were running back down the field and zidane told him, "i'll give it to you after the game if you want." and the italy man was like, "i'd rather have your sister." so that is why zidane headbutted him in the chest. and i guess the italian was like "dude, i didn't even know he had a sister. i was just talking." so is this true? has anyone heard the same thing? i know this happened a long time ago but who cares.

From what I know, that was precisely what Materazzi was saying to the media after the incident, in various interviews. However, this does not mean that Zidane doesn't have a different recount of the incident, or that Materazzi was telling exactly what happened.
