WOW a lot on non drinkers out there!
the 10 step program where the cure is prevention.
1.) eat some normal food before you you go out.
2.) do as before mentioned, drink a couple glasses of water before you go out.
3.) while out snack on some salty foods, do not over do it, just snack.
4.) choose your drinks wisely, IE. avoid "college bar shooters" and "drinking games".
5.) order a glass of water to sip on while you are at the bar.
6.) NEVER, NEVER allow someone to go o the bar and get your drink; this will assure you that you have followed rule #6.
7.) VERY IMPORTANT! stay with what you start with. IE. start with rum and coke finish with rum and coke. never switch in the middle. Following this rule alone will reduce your chances of having to wear the "my name is Chuck" tag at the next outing.
8.) since you are the one getting your drinks cut off about an hour before you plan on going to sleep, (this means stay sober enough to be in control of when you go to sleep)
9.) before you go to bed, take 2 aspirin, or non aspirin pain reliever, and drink about an 8 oz glass of water.
10.) this is a hard one try to get 1 hour of sleep per each hour that you drank hard.
This is has and is constantly being tested, to date every-time I follow these steps I wake up the next morning feeling ready to do it all again tomorrow
I'm testing it tonight with the captain,
no offence to others but avoid gatoraid, adds something else for your kidneys to process, soda, something about the sugars (someone coould try diet, we have not tested with diet soda) and adding something else for your body to process, gas station pills (if they really worked lilly would have them percription, and dont even get close to milk, it will curdle with some alcohols in your stomach then you will be wearing the "chuck" badge.

The reason you experience pain after alcohol consumption is because the alcohol dehydrates your body severely. You may have noticed how much you have to go to the bathroom while drinking - well you are putting out more than you are taking in. People who are literally dying of thirst describe hangover like symptoms.
So, if you don't want a hangover, drink a glass or two of water BEFORE you start drinking, maybe a glass WHILE you are drinking, and definitely a glass or two when you quit drinking. It wouldn't hurt to take a couple aspirin with those last glasses of water.
I guarantee you won't wake up with a hangover, because your body won't be dehydrated.

there are no cures, only things that might help you feel a little better. First, drink as much water as you can. You are dehydrated. Aspirin too, Then take a big dose of B vitamins. I personally like the old Mexico cure; Menuedo! but some people hate it. The reason it works is that it is full of B vitamins! I also find ice cold carbonated cola helps.

Two Advil or Tylenol before drinking and two after. Also, try not drinking alcohol that contains formaldehyde (like some beer or low shelf liquors). Stick with top shelf like Absolute (vodka). Try a hot water cloth (no substitutes like hot water bottles or heating pads...I don't know why, but they just don't work) on the back of the neck and over the eyes. Keep rotating (like 2 cloths) to keep it hot. It always worked for me.

OK, heres the secret...
1. Eat lots of bread/pancake (absords liquor).
2. Pop in a couple of Motrin before you pass out/go to sleep (gets rid of the headache but kinda harms the liver coz it already filtering all those toxins, but I prefer not to have those headaches)
3. Down the Motrin with Gatorade (Gatorade rehydrates you and replenish electrolytes)
4. SLEEP
Always works for me!

if one goes drinking I find the best solution is to drink a couple of glasses of water before you go and also after you return from your little expedition with alcohol. This will rehydrate your body as alcohol dries you out and gives you headaches too = the hangovers. lots of high sugar in mixes also give you the headaches and dry you out. LOTS of water before going to bed...IT WORKS.

Sleep. and a hot shower the morning I mean afternoon when you awake. Also when you get home try to take a tyenol that should cure any headaches when you wake up. Also when you wake up, take your time getting up, don't jump outta bed, ease yourself. And drink LOTS of water!

Drink lots of water to rehydrate yourself. Before going to sleep take two apirin. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES take ANY Tylenol!!!! Continued use of alchol and Tylenol will wreck your liver (to the point of killing you.) As it did a White House Aide to President Clinton. Get plenty of sleep and take it easy the next morning.
