ok.. i love chemistry and i wanna ask you'all a question:

when a cell is deprived of oxygen the lysosomes burst so what does the cell do as a result???

A. produce lysosomes to replace the ones that burst
B. undergo cell division
C. recyle damaged organelles
D. Make additional ER
OR
E. undergo self-digestion (autolysis)

E. The lysosomes contain powerful enzymes that catalyze the deformation of cellular proteins and ultimately lead to cell-death (autolysis). Luckily, I'm a Biochemistry major.
