I have a 81 bronco with a 302 carburated engine. Can i put a 90 5.0L on it?would i have to changed the oil pan?MY 5.0 is fuel injected but im going to convert it to carburetor. will it fit my tranny? I want the power of the later 302 engine and i think it might last longer. What changes would i have to make. Would it be easier just to put a 351 carburated engine from another bronco?THANKS!!!!!!!!

the trans will bolt up there the same,,as far as everything else it just a matter of doing a lot of changing around and i agree with you the later 302 probably will out last the older one,,and there,s a lot you can do to it to help it out on power,,i think you,ll have to use the oil pan from the old 302 on it,,if not it may hit the steering link,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s.

on that yes the 302 everything is the same excpet for the pan and pick up for te oil pump..and for the 351 the mounts are the same exactly as a 302 the only diffrence is the deckheight of the block..where the head meets the block..so you may have some exhaust issues..but thats the only diffrence between a 302 and 351w..if its a clevland it's a totally diffrent story but i highly highly doubt you have one of those

it will be better to use the 351 already with the carb all you will need to change is the motor mounts it will bolt to the tranny and the exhaust should also fit
