A croissant that is unsure of its identity-Now, before you laugh at that answer-I mean one that masquerades as a bagel, a donut-has become something other than what is intended, by the addition of ingredients not usually found in a croissant-chocolate added or fruit or flavoring.

A 'croissant' is a flaky breakfast pastry that has been around for hundreds of years.... It was "discovered" by accident by a young French apprentice baker. Do you mean "Ambiguous CONSONANT"? That would make more sense for the category. There is nothing ambiguous about croissants, they are delicious;... especially when they are filled with chocolate or ham and cheese!
