Sometimes people do both, or not. Some people are lazy. Some answers can be answered better by people than books or Google. Some people like the interaction. Some people are codependent. Many reasons. Some people don't have a life. Some people are addicted. Some people have disabilities & can't leave the house. For the most part, I've met nice & interesting people here. I'm meeting the first & second & 3rd separate people in person in Hawaii (where I live ) woithin the next 3 wks. 2 of them are already here, I spoke to them on the phone today & yesterday, the other ones are staying at a hotel I reccommended.

You can learn the truth here also. There are many different people out there with many different ideas, opinions and thoughts. Use Google too, if you want.

some times i want other peoples opinions and not something that comes up on the internet in the form of advertisement for some product I don't want.
