Let's just say it's a case "more severe than an attorney has seen in his or her 20 years of practice" and probably news worthy in today's day and age...

It depends on the lawsuit and what part of the country you're in. If it's a frivolous suit and gets tossed out of court on a motion right after it's filed, then it's going to cost LOTS less than a case that actually gets to trial and that costs less than one that goes up on appeal.

Lawyers charge differently according to what part of the country you're in and, even in the same town, fees can vary greatly from one agency to another.

Sure, lots of BIG companies have their own in-house attorneys but smaller companies have to hire a firm and, even if they have in-house attorneys, some companies will hire firms to do litigation and use their in-house attorneys to review contracts and keep up with legislative changes, etc.

so there's lots of factors and it's hard to give a definite answer....

It depends on the scope and nature of the suit, and the type and number of claims. But, including attorneys fees and discovery costs, it's not uncommon for a civil suit to run in tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

If it was made in USA, simply have it re-made in China.
As far as money goes, if you have a problem with employer it could cost upto $750 per hour for a lawyer and as far as a company spending goes, whatever it takes and costs to end the case.

Too vague a question. It can range from a few 10s of thousands to millions, depending on the type and complexity of the case.
