How do i handle the question,"When u gonna finish school"?

I am over 40,and below 50yrs. of age.Many(20plus)years ago i was a wild girl nevertheless, In my 30's,i enrolled in a 2yr college to get an Associate Degree in Nursing..Now i had been out of school over 20yrs when i decided to go back for nursing.It is not easy back in school at my age however,i will continue to work/study hard to get the degree i should have gotten 20yrs.ago.Because of Jesus's grace&mercy i am standing on a 2.8GPA.When i first started in 2004,i was not doing to well so,i had to repeat some classes because the lowest grade accepted in college courses is a "C", even though D's are passing but not accepted in a degree program.My issue now is family,friends,co-workers,and my brothers & sisters in CHRIST constantly asking when will you finish?..and i realize in my spirit their concern is not real,because i also hear and ignore some comments like"your 2yrs is up where is the degree?or how much longer?Will someone please tell me how to reply nicely in order to sho God's LUV

When you recognize in your spirit that others' concern is not genuine, what other spirit could they be influenced by if it not be God's? Well, when dealing in spiritual warfare (no matter how large or small it may SEEM), no one says that your response has to be "nice" in order to be Godly and show His love. Remember how Jesus responded to people who approached Him in that fashion--I would NOT call His response "NICE"! LOL!

Your response has to be a "cut off" one, if you will.

I would respond by saying something like this: "I am so grateful to God for the opportunity, and I'm in no rush. WHY DO YOU ASK?" The preceding question is SO important...that's the "cut off" question. It leaves the other party with nothing to say (then or any other time) other than something that would reveal the true nature of that negative spirit. If THAT happens, bind it up by letting the person know that their tone with you is inappropriate and certainly non-conforming to your positive and Godly lifestyle. Amen? *smile*

Be at peace and when questioned (actually, harrassed is a better word!), ALWAYS share how God has blessed you!

these people are not trying to be mean

they are just being rude accidently, making conversation, thinking they are funny, not paying much attention

don't worry about it

answer them any ole way

how about "not until I have to", make a joke of it

or

"I hope I never have to stop learning" a little lesson there

or, the straight answer, just tell them when you think you will be done

even if they say "your 2 years is up" just ignore it and say, "I'm working hard and I hope to finish by december 2007" (or whenever it is that you guess you might be done)

swallow your pride, don't be impolite just because they are, most people are rude on accident

lighten up
work hard
when your done, you can be proud, and many of these same people will be very proud for you and with you

When God decides I am ready...

True Christians should know that YOU are not in control of your life.

God is.

We give our life to him, and he choses when things are right.

For some reason, whatever you are doing is what you are supposed to be doing.

When the time is right, you will graduate.

You are supposed to be learning something from your school and the questions you are being asked... so accept it and be humble when they bother ya!
