for a person to have a child. I'm talking about an 18+ person. I know that children (17-) are too young.

To clarify. I'm writing a paper! I know I'm not ready to have a child! I mean hello?! I'm still in college! I don't even have a boyfriend!

It's too soon when you haven't set a life for yourself to be able to take care of a child. It's too soon when you think that you can still be able to sleep, eat and go out whenever you feel like it and just have someone you know watch the baby for you. It's too soon when you feel that you still want a life of your own. When you have a child, everything you do and have is for them...because they are who you will love...because they came from inside of you...because they are of your flesh...because they are small and helpless and didn't ask to be in this world...because they need you completely. Discuss with whoever it is that you plan to have a child with (husband/boyfriend) about child discipline, lifestyles, religion, finances, etc. This will better help you understand your partner. Also, read up on books before you have a child about planning a family. Make sure that you workout relationship issues that you may have first because with children it's harder for you to work them out. Best wishes and take care.

An 18 year old woman may be old enough to have a child. Some 18 year olds are mature enough, others are not. Are you married? If not, please wait to have a child until after you are married. A child truly does need a mother and father. If you are old enough to have sex; to consider having a child; you are old enough to realize that babies should come after you say "I do!" I pray you'll wait for the proper time. God bless!

It comes down to "maturity" and resources(money)... and the desire/will to raise a child ....
To raise a child it takes the "gusto" and the strenth to do so.

Some people want to get with their spouse and "party on" for a little while and then have children. Others want to have children right away.

Too soon is when you're not ready...you should definitely be married to have an expected pregnancy...but that's just how i feel, you can have a child when the both of you are ready for one, financially & emotionally ready...whatever you decide, good luck!

I think that 23-33 is the best time because you are just enough of an adult and eventhough it at 23 you may not have all yourlife experience it is a ood time because you are still young and healthy

It all depends on the woman, and the maturity level and having a selfless nature.
Bringing up baby is a tremendous responsibility, and one must have the nurturing instinct for this.
I have known young girls to be more responsible than woman in their thirties and have proven to be great Mothers.

You need to be able to earn enough money to support a child. I don't think you should count on the father to do it; you should be able to do it yourself.
I STRONGLY believe people should graduate from college before having children, if at all possible.
