When someone has asked an interesting question or given a very good answer I sometimes read their profile.

Yes I read profiles both here and in yahoo games(especially yahoo games to see if the person am playing has abandoned any games and to see their winning abilities) It helps you get to know the person a little bit. Like my profile, it has got a bit of info about me. I run a website for travel and I have nothing to hide about me. it also gives an insight as to where a person is coming from when they ask their question.

Only if the person seems to be a total lunatic. Usually, once I've read their profile, I'm like, "...well, ok - that explains it." If someones' posts are weird, it's almost a given that the person will have a weird profile too. Like Donny's. I haven't seen him around here lately, but I sure wouldn't want him as my neighbor!

I used someone's profile to send them a message but, generally, no I don't read anyone's profile. I rarely even go around reading answers unless they're posted to one of my questions.
I supposed if someone wrote some fantastic answer to some question (mine or someone else's question) I might go look at their profile. I haven't so far but I'm not saying that I never would.

I Do
when on an answering session I often see someone answering the same Q's as me, and if I like the way they answer I will check out their profile and maybe visit their 360 page. or even contact them ... I have had several eMails from other users giving comment on the answers I have submitted.
it is rewarding to think you hav made enough of an impression for someont to be moved to respond directly, even if their content may not be entirely complimentary. The action is..... dont you agree Alfie

Sometimes I do, especially when I see the same 'profile' giving an identical answer to different writers questions.
This is particularly true when the question is of a religious nature.

Yes, to try and work out where they're coming from. It's easy to offend people on this site so I check out their site first and their Qs & As if I feel inclined to joke. The humour on this site is what makes it interesting for some of us - but not at the expense of people's feelings.

Sure, that's why they have them,so you can find friends who have similar interests or who are just plain interesting .Or you can check out people who ask really odd questions. It's fun, I suggest you try it.
