Hi, Josh,
People don't know you, they have never met you, or spoken to you before, they don't know how you were brought up, how many siblings you have, how much money you earn, how educated you are, who you voted for, what religion you have, they don't even know when your birthday is... Yet, just because of the clothes you're wearing, the color of your hair or skin, the accent you have, people think they know you, and judge you for it...
>>>>>
I will let you decide, whether this is fair or not...
Personally, I believe everyone should be "treated" as an individual, and that nobody should be granted prior judgment, just because you met someone previously who looks the same.... That's like saying : a "Nissan Micra", should be as fast as a "Porche 911", just because they're both small and red, yet under the hood, they are completely different cars....
>>>>>>
Thanks, for the question!;)
My regards!

There are many forms or patterns that appear to repeat or replicate. People can sometimes find comfort in the common or the simple. We tend to generalize and communicate using cliches as a way to stay safe and complacent with life. Yet there is a real anxiety or anger or frustration with all of this sameness. No simple answer will do. Things change but they tend to remain the same. I can only work on my stuff and try not to get to caught up in everything else. It works for me.

Partially, it's because it's much easier for people to judge people by whatever the current stereotype is than to expend the energy it takes to talk to someone new. Also, I think people are afraid of what others think of them and are afraid of looking stupid or being judged themselves and so they keep to their same, safe worlds where they know what the standards that they are being judged by are. Another reason is that often people that negatively judge others based on stereotypes have insecurities about themselves and hate/blame other people to take the focus off their own failings.

I think people are afraid of things they dont know about. I think everyone and everything is awesome. If more people thought like that there would be alot less hate and wars.

Because there are so many hateful people who want to blame everything and everyone for all of their problems and the world's problems. They are so caught up with being selfish, full of themselves, angry and stupid, they have no concept of what life should really be like, let alone how to treat others. Sad, but true.

our MIND WORKS BY ASSOCIATION. I would not call it mere stereotypes. If I say dog, anyone would think of a fury animal of four legs, who is the best friend of men, which barks, eats... etc. We just associate things with the concept we have already acquired.

Because people are too afraid to talk to those people and get to know them for who they really are and instead, they go and judge them by what everyone else says even though it's not true.
