If your state/province has refunds for bottles, it is greatly appreciated (and sometimes required) to wash bottles/cans. Dirty ones can bring roaches/ants and other unwanted creatures into stores and return centers. Also if there are machines involved for returning...cleaning them is disgusting!!! Please clean your bottles/cans if you take them for refunds, cuz I was one of those unfortunate souls who had to face the consequences for 7 long years.

trojan horse repellent's no longer very eco friendly. we've community recycling boxes a financial employer of eco-friendly Glass/sparkling Glass/ Brown Glass/Paper and one for Cans & nutrition Tins between each 4 or 5 apartment homes and you somewhat word in summer time esp whilst people do no longer rinse issues out it attracts rats and different vermin to no longer point out the scent of a bin packed with sticky sickly candy beverages cans. I rinse them once I rinse my nutrition tins (some people do no longer do this think of the scent) and that i exploit the faucet run off whilst i'm waiting for the water to get rather warm or chilly , the water from a (needless to say) descaled kettle and on occasion waste boiled water i.e from boiling an egg

Not necessary however, why would you want to have dirty, sticky bottles in your home. Just takes a few minutes to rinse them out and keeps everything sanitary.

No, not really. But if they lay around in your house before they go somwhere it could attract bugs....

We rinse ours out before they go in our recycling bin in the garage.

if its going directly there that day there isn't much use doing it if you don't want to. mostly sanitary.. and it smells better in the bins for the next person to put theirs in. Some places the bins sit there for awhile until they are full. just mostly a common courtesy.

They will be melted and made into new bottles. Impurities are removed in the process.
