like yesterday was running fine and everything but now out of nowhere its not reading it what should i do

You might need to download the software to your hard drive again. Thats what I did and now mine works fine.

First, try clearing out the USB by blowing in it or something to get the dust out. If that doesn't work, swich to a different USB. If it still doesn't work, restart the computer.

mine has done that. it has even frozen up before...do you have a reset button you can push to refresh your device (ipod) ?
