First of all, please have a doctor or nurse practioner check your thyroid for nodules (lumps). This can be one of the first signs of thyroid cysts, goiters, or even thyroid cancer. My daughter suffers from thyroid cancer, so I take this quite seriously. Please ask a medical professional to do a thyroid check because you are having difficulty swallowing. Hope everything is well!

I cannot swallow unless I drink something with each bite of food. Not sure why, my doctor says it's in my head.(no pun intended)

Too easy, just too easy. Sometimes people leave curveballs high and in the zone, and it's just too easy to hit it out of the park. Did you try closing your eyes and relaxing your throat first? ;-)
