My daughter was outside playing with the other little girls on our block (we just moved here 2 weeks ago), and they told her that they were suspicious of the young man that lives next door. Apparently, they feel as though he raped the little girl who lived here before us. I'd like to check it out, but the fbi's nsopr (National Sex Offender Public Registry) does not allow you to search addresses. I've done this before, but it was years ago, and I can't remember how to access it via the net. Anyone have any suggestions?

I believe there is information on the Megan's Law website that allows you to get address information of sex offenders. You should also be able to get the information you need through the website for your local police department.

I don't know if they have it in your area, but in my city, our newspaper's website features a link that lets you put in your zip code and it comes back with names, addresses, place of employment, and a picture of the offenders in your zip code. It even says what they were charged with. Maybe check with your newspaper's website. Good luck.

check the website for your local police station or your county. Godd Luck. I have a six year old and I'm always on top of that.

Use the Megan's Law website. Select your state here: http://www.klaaskids.org/pg-legmeg.htm

But please don't use the information you get on those sites to harass or threaten indivduals. That is just wrong, and many people on those sites served 25 years in prison and are no longer offenders. Just so you know, it is illegal.
