Guys-- I'll be flying out of Tampa and JfK on Jet Blue. I'll be flying only in the U.S.

I flew a few months ago with my laptop on Southwest. They usually want you to take it out of the bag before letting it slide through the x-ray machine. They may also ask you to turn it on. I recommend calling the specific airline to confirm, though.

According the TSA federal website, carry-on and checked-in laptops are permitted by their rules, but still check on it.

As of like a month age they let you take them on the plane as long as you take them out of the case to go through the scans, but since the bomb threats I'm not sure if they'll let you.

Depends which airport you are flying from. And also which country you are from. Here in the UK there are restrictions on ANY laptops at the moment so none are allowed.
