question about windows media player?

how do i put music from a cd (my rent original cast soundtrack =) ) onto a playlist. when its on my now playing list, and i take out the cd, the list goes away.

CD's are copyrighted material. You have to purchase the rights to use them even with WMP. I think it's just a precaution that Microsoft makes. I can save CD content to my library using Roxio, but it uses allot of memory on my hard drive. WMP is pretty much a "play only" program, unless you have secured specific rights to copy.
