The reason why I ask this question is because my boyfriend is a Die Hard Cubs FAN! But he wouldnt mind playing for the White Sox and I really think thats not an FAN. What you think?

Well a fan is someone who is a spectator. He will be playing for the mlb and may not think of it as a fan rather that he is on a team that he wants to win with since he is on it. What if he had to play for the Cardinals? The cardinals are a rival and play the Cubs more often than the White Sox. he could look at it as playing for a Chicago team.

There's not a chance in the world I would play for the Sox. I might play for a different team if it was my only shot at getting in the majors, but not the Sox.

Why wouldn't some one want to play for a team that has a chance to win something?
The cubs sucked yesterday, today, and yes they will suck again for every tomorrow to come.
