Monistat cream - but still make a dr. appt. Yeast infections can be caused simply by wearing tight jeans.. you don't have to be sexually active.

You don't have to be sexually active to get a yeast infection. It's just bacteria in your body. Your body naturally has yeast in it, it's just too much or not enough that causes the infection..I'm not sure. I've used monistat cream before and it worked pretty good. It's really just an over-all uncomfortable feeling, after you use it, put on a pad and just lie down. I don't know if 12 is too young to use it or not though...you can ask the pharmacist at your local drugstore. And I would make a Doc appt. anyway just to make sure.

Have her put plan yogurt on herself. The yeast infection treatments out there are to harsh for a girl that young . Have her apply it everday for about a week it should clear up. If not take her to a doctor.

Have your daughter start eating more yogurt or acidopholis. This will bring back the natural flora and decrease the yeast. Keep the area clean. If all else fails, call your local pharmacist for more questions.

not sure how to make it go away in a girl so young but I know they say stay away from hot baths and bubble baths. I know bubble baths can cause yeast infections in young girls, it has happened to my niece.
