you could be ash, and she could be ale. that would shorten it up a bit. or you could use something they did when they were little/younger.

Well usually nicknames are given to friends when you share something funny kinda like an inside joke.. you guys have to find out whats special or unique about eachother and make up something funny.
Ex. My friend has a face similar to an "ant" her chin is kinda pointy so i make fun of her about it calling her ...Chinny Chin or Bully ANt....stuff like that you'll get it
