Side effects: For many, smoking dope is as natural and everyday as a brew of hot tea, and they find the drug helps make their life a little less stressful without unduly affecting their judgement or abilities.
For others it can have quite the opposite effect, turning ordinary folk into unbearable, spaced out, lazy hippies. A night of industrial strength spliffing can transform you into a giggling oaf who will burst into laughter at wholly unamusing incidents and find deep intellectual depth in the Spice Girls' lyrics.
Your trousers and sofa will become riddled with burn marks from dropped spliffs, and you will have to face the regular dilemma of being hit with the munchies at 3am only to find that you were too out of it to get the shopping in.
This can result in regular users turning into lazy gits whose crap diet turns their body into a most unattractive proposition.
True or False?

I think I will say true. I have never smoked it but I know alot of people that do. They are all hard working people and it is just a stress reliever for them, but I'm sure it does have the opposite effect on some people.

Almost any drug, no matter how mild, when used to excess could have a huge impact on someone's mental ability. Weed has an impact on short-term memory, but it doesn't fit this problem. People's attention span can be affected while they are using weed. It sounds more likely he was stressed and took a few tokes of the good weed to get ready to face school. A sudden relapse with weed is pretty rare. But not a concern if it only happens once. There could be a range of other explainations. Such memory losses could be serious, and there a range of standard tests that can be done (they are paper and pencil tests) to test brain function.

I'd say true.
Although from what I've seen, the more they smoke the more they move toward the negative end of the scale.
I suppose it's no different to somebody who enjoys, say, a single glass of alcohol and stays level headed and somebody who pours it down their neck like it's going out of fashion and turns in to a complete wreck.
If a weed smoker can settle for a moderate intake they're bound to do better than some idiot who puts an ounce away in an evening.

The side effects are different for everyone. Yes, I have personally seen some who turn into couch potatoes and then there are those who don't. Some have short term memory loss and some don't. I would have to answer True and False to the question. (in my case, smoked for about 21 years so far and...no burn holes on the couch or clothes, my body is still as fit, if not fitter, than I was in high school and I do not forget anything)

TRUE!!!! I smoked it almost daily for over 30 yrs. Gave it up completely 81 days ago. I feel GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now. Got to the point the last few years I could only smoke just before bed because that's all I wanted to do anyway... after spacing out in front of the tube for a couple of hours. My waist is already getting smaller.

The only bad effect I had was weight gain from all the Twinkies and Doritos. If it wasn't for random testing at work and the price now I would probably still smoke. We didn't have these problems in 1977. What happened?

well, you have only presented what most people are able to determine on their own.But you haven't touched upon the issue of toxicity. And how fire alters the chemical composition of the plant. And everybody's immune levels are different. So if you're promoting usage, watch out, and if you are trying to deter, you need to present more info.
