Sometimes people behaviors are determined by external forces rather anyone wants to admit that or not. I think we also have control over these behaviors But, sometimes when things get so hard or other factors come into play then in-stink takes over and this is a mess when this happens. That's it and God Bless!

I believe people can control their behavior, for example: somebody made me extremely mad today and I could have said something or gotten into a physical fight fight, although it was a male, but I didn't because I knew it would have further consequences if I did. It was at my husbands place of employment so it might have affected his job or my husband would have been in a hysical altercation with this person. The point is that I decided it was not worth it. I had too much to lose.

We choose our behaviors and to some extent our emotions. Abraham Lincoln said, "Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be." A lot of our emotional state depends on what we focus on, positive or negative and we can choose where that focus goes.
That said, our brains are a complex mix of physical structures and chemicals. Our moods can be effected by our biochemistry, which in turn is effected by our diet, medications, amount of rest we receive, etc. Obviously, the better a balance we maintain through proper rest; nutrition; medical care; avoiding smoking, alchohol and drugs etc. the better chance we have of being in control.

Most peoples' behaviours are determined by external forces, without their realisation, unless they have carefully gone within and examined why they think the way they do.

that goes into nature vs. nurture. some people have weaker personalities that would be when nature lets nurture take over and then there is the strong personalities which controls nurture. so you can see it either way. it is always based on the person.
nurture=environment, external forces etc

Whatever the situation is, a person is responsible for their own behavior, period. You can't do anything about how another person treats you, etc, but what you can do something about is how you react to/handle it.
