i've also never heard of gravity as an element. though it has been an attack (usually of the "dark" element)

heart was an element in captain planet - it allowed the boy to communicate with animals
spirit is an element in robert jordan's wheel of time books
if you go with pokemon, there are a lot more to add - rock, ground, bug, psychic, ghost, dragon, flying and normal
in kingdom hearts, there is the added elements of time, space, moon and nothingness.

Depends on what you mean by "elements". Like, fire and ice? Or, like, how they work and what makes them good and stuffs. If the fire and ice one is what you mean, here goes: Fire, water, lightning, ice, death, gravity, storm, earth, poison, death, life, err.... and... acid maybe? But if you mean other one, then it needs in depth realistic characters, a world that doesn't always change, perhaps maps, and good spelling and grammar.

World of Warcraft is fantastic! That game alone has books about the story line, Atlas's, and books with info on characters and quests and stuff. You friend would have to do a series of books, and even then, they would be very thick books!
