I believe you are getting martin luther mixed up with martin luther king

martin luther was a german catholic priest who was instrumental in the reformation

martin luther king was an american civil rights figure who worked for equal rights for black skinned americans

although martin luther started the movement that later became the lutheran church, he started as a catholic priest and was never really a "lutherian priest"
