Can anyone solve this?

ATOM
+BOMB
----------
BINGO

Actually, I'm sure quite a lot of you will but just to give you a hand, I can tell you that A = 9 and G = 5.

Please also note that once a letter has been asigned a number, no other letter will have that number.

Sorry, but for some reason I can't get the words to line up. If you assume the word 'Atom' is moved one place to the right, I'm sure it will all make sense!

Hi Andy,

I=0, B=1, M=2, O=3, T=4, G=5, N=7, A=9

Without the hints it becomes a little more difficult since there are more possible carry overs.

First B must equal 1, and since you have given A=9 (thanks) we must have M+1 = O with M<=7. If M= 2 then O = 3 and O+M = 2+3 =5 = G (also given). T+O = N. T is non-zero and cannot be 1,2,3 or 5 so the least it could be is 4. In fact T must = 4 or 7 since if T = 6 then T+O = 6+3 = 9 which it can't be since A =9.
But if T=7 then T+O = 10 which means N = 0 and A+B+1 = 11 which would make I =1 which is not possible since B=1; so T=4 which means N = 7 and I = 0.

Checking out we have:
atom+bomb= bingo
9432+1321 =10753

uh huh. If you say so.
also wanted to tell you that those words do not work together. "recreational" and 'Math"
the term 'recreational' implies something fun. Which math is NOT!

am too tired to sit down and look at it seriously, but it looks like fun, have you any more examples? where did you get them? I love puzzles.
