Its a total joke we must have been having these calls at least 6 months now, my politeness has worn out and I really have no sympathy for ANYONE on the end of these calls. Give them the most abuse you can think of because they have certainly abused us!

Tell them to put you on their "do not call list." They will keep calling for a few days because whatever reason. Also, watch out for the latest scam. Someone will call you and leave you a message about something urgent like "your mom's in the hospital, or your son was in a car accident." They will leave a # for you to call back that, if you call it, you will be charged something like $1000 a minute. There are so many area codes out there and new ones all the time that most people wont recognize it. You will get a bill from your phone company with the charges on it that will be from the company that the area code came from. This happened to a person that my mother works with. Some guy left a message that said her daughter was in the hospital and in critical condition. This person called the # back and was put on hold for 15 minutes and then the line went dead. Her daughter is away at college so she figured it ligit. She got a bill for $7,000. Her daughter was fine.

Take a real interest in what they have to offer, waste about 30 minutes of their time, then ask them to post it to unit 1, Lunar Complex, Earth Satillite, The Moon, MN1 1FU. Then when thet start getting frustrated get really nasty about the fact they aren't willing to deliver to your home, then start legal talk, don't swear though or they can put the phone down. I used it before and never hear from those companies again. After you wasted a large portion of their time (remember they are paid by sales), they won't bother again.
And if someone tries to sell you windows, move to conservatories, then ask them to do a valuation at 13th Floor, name a block of flats, and again when they start acting confused be completly serious, they hate it and its great fun too!!!

Register your home and cell numbers with the website (government) below and allow time for that to hit. Then, simply and politely ask them to remove your name from their list. If you haven't registered, you are fair game to telemarketers.

in addition to Lov-Moz's advice, contact TPS (Telephone Preference Service)
http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/
You can register your land line and mobiles to stop all unsolicited telephone calls. It takes a couple of months sometimes to stop them all but is well worth it.
They also do Junk Mail too

ask them really stupid questions like
whats your fav colour?
why is the sky blue?
do you have brown eyes?
anything like that they cant stand it
but
the best one tho is to chat them up.what ever sex they are chat them up ask them on a date that kinda thing. freaks them out
