Chances are you already have some interest that you like to do to pass the time. Look at what you do for fun... Do you enjoy typing, giving advice, helping in the kitchen, detailing cars, yard work planting watching plants grow...? This is all it takes to find a career. Programmer - accounting, counselor - psychiatrist, Chef - kitchen management, landscaping - design, are you good at English, like kids? Be a teacher. ALL you need to do is pay attention to the activities that give you the most enjoyment, the things you feel you do well, or have been told you do well, then research careers. Good luck, Deciding.
If you are still stumped, find and hold various employment and change often, try new things....you'll find what suites you.
I discovered after I had children that I was a story teller. Write children stories, also read aloud at the local library. NO PAY, but very fun.

You have plenty of time...do not worry about it. Just make sure you leave all options open; meaning get good grades, stay out of trouble, and be picky about who you choose to associate with. Bad grades and trouble with the law can severely limit your career options in the future. Most importantly, enjoy being young because you have the rest of your life to be an adult! As far as choosing a career, I would wait until college when you can explore different areas more deeply. You would be suprised about how much an education can change a persons point of view.

At this point you don't have to. Today's economy has changed people's goals over the years to divert many people. I would encourage you to pursue college no matter what you major in and to be the best in whatever you do in life. Success is a journey and not a destination. Learn as much as you can in high school and go for whatever interests you the most. If you do what you love, the money will follow.

There are lots of people who enter college without knowing what they want to do in life so I wouldn't worry about it at this point. You could probably talk with your guidance counselor about a career aptitude test, which would give you some suggestions about what you might like to do. It would ask questions about what you like or don't like and then analyze your answers to give you a list of some jobs that might fit you. Also, you could participate in any job shadowing opportunities so that you could go with someone to work and see what their day is like. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Seriously, you don't need to decide right now, no matter how hard your school tries to make you figure it out. The point of going to school is to grow and learn what you like, don't like, and what you want to know more about. You will really discover yourself in college, and even then you do have a couple of years to really get a feel for what you want to do as far as your career.

Don't stress over it now! You have enough in your life to worry about at this point without putting extra pressure on yourself!

You're too young to make up your mind right now. Most likely, it'll change in a year or two and then change after that. Relax and continue to figure out what you want to do. Look at Monster.com, look at what jobs other people have, find some new interests and hobbies. Just enjoy yourself. No need to stress.

you're still young and have plenty of time. when you're older and ready to go to college u can get a career counselor and do job shadowing. It really helped me. But wait until u almost start college or whatever. If u decide now u might change ur mind.
