They are actually really good at biting. When people would come into the Pet shop with a small child to buy a hamster, I would try and talk them into buying a Gerbil instead. I have NEVER been bitten by a gerbil, and they are more active.

Yes. If not properly and gently handled they become aggressive. A friend's hamster drew blood on my brother finger years ago.

absolutely yes. Mine grabbed hold of my cuticle on my finger and wouldn't let go. I instinctively was shaking my hand, which caused the skin to rip while he still held on. I pried his teeth off of me and he the bit that other hand, too!
From that point on I hated him and never interacted with him again. When he died, I gladly thew him away - habitrail cage and all.
In memory of Charlamaigne. Stupid hamster. I hate hamsters.

Definately, they are very hostile little creatures. I had two hamsters named thunder and lightening.. they were vicious. But then I got a teddy bear hamster named summerfall princess... she was really cute and sweet. GEt a teddy bear hamster!!!!

Yeah, they have sharp little teeth and the know how to use them! My daughter had two hamsters and got bit by each one. I think they bit her when she woke them up...
