I think this may happen to some people who are trying to cope with very difficult situations --the single mother, the child of a mentally ill parent, or, one woman I knew whose husband died and left her with five children -- I felt her strongly stated opinions were sometimes a way to feel safer in a world that it full of uncertainty and danger.
As the child of a mentally ill parent, I think I too felt that I had to know everything and be able to respond to any thing that came my way ... it was a long time before I felt it was safe to say "I don't know" or let go of some of the control.

NO, be happy you know all the answers, if you find a guy who's intimidated by your knowledge, he isn't the right guy. Don't settle for someone that is not intellectual your equal. In the end it won't work because you'll be looking down on him.

Yes, and what would be wrong with that? As a woman, are you not allowed to know a lot--only a man can do that?
