They will give you the set time of 8 weeks, more or less. There are some things which can effect healing and some people heal faster or slower. Broken bones have this tendency to hurt while they are healing and for a good while after. Just because the bone re-knits to the rest of the bone does not indicate it is back to full strength. Muscles must be reconditioned, weight bearing and full rotation must be slowly attained. PT will help. The whole recovery period for a broken bone is probably more like 6 months. Care must be taken that you do not over exert and rebreak it, since it will be weak even when healed.

For a healthy 40 12 months old guy (myself) it took 12 weeks to heal, for an older gent consisting of your self it may take plenty longer. they say it may take somewhat a protracted time for the elderly bones to heal, you merely might desire to be careful to no longer use it too plenty, it rather is going to sluggish your therapeutic technique. The clavicle is between the worst bones to break because of the fact there is not any longer something around it to assist it during the therapeutic technique. i know, i've got broken the two one in each of mine dissimilar circumstances.
