Babe Ruth could never have been a Red Sox player. He was incredibly good and he knew it.

To play for the Red Sox, you have to go the other way. That is to say, you have to suck, and not know it.

Actually, at THAT time (when Ruth entered the majors), the Red Sox were a much better team than the Yankees. The Sox won the first World Series ever played, in 1903, and also won another in 1912. Their 1912 team set a league record for victories in a season. The Red Sox 105 wins in 1912 was an A.L. record until the 1927 Yankees won 110.

Then, after Ruth joined the Sox, they won pennants (AND the World Series) in 1915, 1916 and 1918... Ruth was sold to the Yanks and played his first season in NY in 1920...the Yanks won pennants in 1921 and 1922, losing to their cross-town rivals, the Giants, in both series, before beating the Giants in 1923 for their first world championship...

After that, of course, it's all Yankees, but the Red Sox were a much better team at the time Ruth entered the majors.

No. He grew to become into aside of one nonetheless. i've got self assurance I remember listening to of a interest the place Ruth started the interest yet grew to become into ejected after the 1st hitter walked. wherein the group then blended to throw a no-hitter in the back of him.
