in november my husband and i will be married a year!!! i have a son from my a previous relationship - sadly i became pregnate but had to terminate the pregnacy do to medical problems :( - at this time i am not ready to get pregnate again, but my husband refuse to use condoms - i started to take birth control pills and my husband became very upset with me and threaten to leave me :( my doctor advised that i wait at least a year or two before trying again - my husband agreed that we should wait before trying to have a child but he refuse to use condoms - i love my husband but im stuck between a rock and hard place - how can we enjoy making love with out putting me at risk???

Look into the IUD. Inter Uterine Device.
It's expensive at first, but if you are paying for pills, it will cover the cost of itself in about six months. THe Wife has one and she likes it better than pills. It lasts for five years and can be taken out with a doctor's help whenever you want it out.

You're an adult and so is he. Sit down and explain to him in plain English what is going on any why you can't have another child just yet. Finish with informing him that either he wears a condom, you do on the pill, or you stay celibate for the next two years. If he objects in any way shape or form to your basic desire to protect your life from possible harm then that is the clearest indication that he does not respect you, that you are not is healthy relationship, and that it must end.
While that is hard to do, understand that it could mean your child grows up with out a mother simply because Dad wanted to get his rocks off.

You should sit down and talk to him. There is a reason your dr. wants you to wait. It could cause harm to you or your future child. Believe me if your husband loves you he should understand.
Tell him you are afraid b/c you don't want to leave your son you have now or him. Potentially depending on your health you could lose your life during childbirth with the dr telling you to wait. If you do this faster than dr says too you could have complications that could cause you not to have anymore children.
I would talk to him if that doesn't work protect yourself first. Birth control is a good way, but there are female condoms too now and other methods. Or you could try the abstinance method. It's still your body and your choice. Married or not. You choose what's best for you and your husband should understand if he loves you and if he is an adult.

Don't get pregnant by this turkey! If he's got no more respect for you than to insist you take a chance on ruining your health, he's not worth a tinker's dad gum and you need to tell him "hit the road toad." Here's the deal. If he can't respect you in this matter, there will be PLENTY of other matters in which he won't respect you too. I'll be my bottom dollar that if you sit down and think about it, you can come up with instances when he hasn't respected or honored you. Think about it.

Sit down and talk with him and ask him if cares about your health. If he does then tell him he either wears the condom or allows you to continue to take birth control pill.

Your husband sounds like a selfish **** who doesn't consider your well-being.
If your doctor has said you should not be pregnant then a normal husband would want to know and discuss ways to still enjoy sex.
You gotta change your protection or your husband!

What is the matter with your husband????? If you shouldn't be having a child then you should be able to be on birth control... He sounds very unfreasonable to me.

well...there are spermicide gel you can use...but he sounds pretty rediculous to me...exactly what does he want you two to do? he won't use a condom and he doesn't want you to be on pills...you should tell him to either think of another option to prevent pregnancy or there will be no sex!!!!
