I had that problem, it was HUGE bumps. Turned out to be raccoons. Find a trapper who will relocate them if you think they are a problem. I let mine stay once I knew what they were.

Yeah...Def. A monster! I'd call Ghostbusters Although Bill Murray is pretty much a Ghost himself these days! Alas. Farewell Bill. We need more of you around. You're sarcasm is lost forever...unless, that is it! Bill Murray is stuck in your attic!
Free him and let his sarcasm hearld a newcoming of Comedy!
Seriously though, I'd just check for any holes in the roof or maybe a bees nest. Be careful though and best of luck!

Probably some kind of animal. Squirrels, rats and even raccoons often make their homes in attics if they can find a way in; it's warm and cozy and often has lots of fiberglass insulation to make a den out of. You could try going up there and seeing what you can find, or if you prefer you could just set some rat traps and see if you catch anything.

If your sure it's not ghosts, then look around and see if there is any animal scat to be found. If you find some have an exterminator tell you what it is, then find out how they are entering and stop them. Eviction notices won't work.

its the spiders mating, i have had it before and they are noisy little blighters when they are aroused. They have probably seen you 'at it' through the cracks in the ceiling and its got them going. Also if you leave your porn books under the bed they will read them and it has the same effect. So you stop it and they will!!

There's only one thing to do, you've got to get up there with a torch or a lead-lamp and take a look.
