The best has to be the Stones! Rock & Roll, Those other groups you guys are mentioning are great but the "Stones" were one of the first original "rock & roll" bands! If you're old enough like me to remember when "rock & roll" began! It's unbelieveable that "the "Stones" are still Rockin!When it comes to "rock and roll" you can't even say the word without remembering the Beatles!Folk music was a "big" thing in the early "60's" during the Viet Nam War{ very different music!} until the Beatles and the "Stones" hit America with their "rock" invasion!{bands}Every little boy wanted to grow up and have a "band" and be a "rockstar"!Look at all the "great" names that everyone is mentioning! I think they'll all be remembered for years to come,but me, I'll always think of dancing to the "Stones" and having fun! Whether they're the best or not they're my best!
