After reading a case in Arapahoe County Court in which an individual was apprehended, with drugs and brass knuckles which he used in an appropiate manner the suspect was charged.
Brass Knuckles are considered an "illegal weapon" according to this case.
Possession of such an item without intent for criminal use may be considered legal, such as someone collecting weapons as a hobby, but I couldn't find any case in Colorado where anyone has been tried for such a case.
refer to my link..hope this helps a little..but it is not conclusive because there is no record of anyone being arrested simply for just possession, but just when someone "used" the weapon.
It was considered an illegal weapon according to this case file.

To the best of my knowledge, brass knuckles are illegal to possess on your person in nearly every state. While you may be able to have them in a personal collection such as in a display, carrying them on your person leads me to believe you could have some trouble.
