Where are Cherokee Indian's originally from, as far as which state?

Cherokee was in other countrys also around 1600 's so it hard to say who was on American land first.......

Scott Land has records of some also

Records of mine line been found first in Va. S.C. and N.C.

My family goes back to Virginia around 1650 to 1725.
